The Kuala Kangsar District (population 39,300) is a district and the royal town of Perak, Malaysia It is approximately 25 km northwest of Ipoh, Perak's capital, and 98 km southeast of George Town, Penang.

How do I get to find this?
I took a ride from Kuala Lumpur with few of my friends and it took us approximately around 4 hours.
I went there for the Vespa and Scooter meeting. Its an annual event for vintage and modern vespa community.

So, after the event, we had the chance to go around Kuala Kangsar town and we found few attraction.
First of all there was the Istana Iskandariah (The Royal Palace) of Perak.
Unfortunately we cant go in. So, just parked in front of the entrance and snap a picture.

Well, after that, we ride again...
And we stop at the Istana Kenangan (Old Palace, now the Perak Royal Museum)
Istana Kenangan used to be a temporary resting mausoleum for the king while awaiting for the current palace to be complete.
The building now converted to the Perak Royal Museum that contains history of the monarchy and heritage of the Perak state. Visitors have the oppurtunity to learn and view the personal collection of the Sultans here as well. The building are was build in 1962 and its said that when they build it, they never used a single nail!

Actually, there is a lot more to visit unfortunately of the time constrain, we cant.
Anyway, if you are looking for a place to stay in Kuala Kangsar you can find it by clicking the picture below =D
