Looking for a job is quite challenging, but that doesn't mean that you should stop. Maybe there is something missing in your resume or curriculum vitae.
Here are 3 common criteria of a good resume.
1. KISS - Keep It Short and Simple
From my experience of going for job interviews, I will send in my one page resume. Yes, one page (or 2 max).
Your resume should be presentable and straightforward. Try to use bullet form and not lengthy words. Honestly, one of my recruiter even said that majority of them will only read few lines or certain section of the resume, and other than that, they will more interested to hear from you. Request like 'now, I want to hear something that not in this resume. This is the time you sell yourself. All those positive experience from your previous job.
2. Job Experience.
Make sure that you include job that relevant to what you are currently apply for. If you think working in a McDonalds as a part timer will help you perform better, put it! If not, just put something more eye catching. Include the project or your responsibilities for your past job, or things that you manage to achieve. But again, keep it short, in bullet form and informative.
3. Contact Info
Be precise and up to date. This section are used to contact you if you are hired for the position. Mostly they will call, or email. Talking about e-mail, you should create a professional or proper email. Don't send an application using suggarbun8787@gmail.com, or dragonSl4yer@hotmail. Most recruiter will maybe mark your email as spam.
